Chalet Location

Chalet Garalys is a traditional Savoyarde chalet, built in 1997, and set within private grounds. The chalet has been described as
a "home from home, rather than a holiday chalet". It is south facing and the large terrace and garden attracts
the sun all day.
The location is on a private road in the small residential
hamlet of Cugnon, Les Contamines-Montjoie. The chalet is situated at the edge of the forest, La reserve Naturelle, and
at the start of signposted walking trails to Tre la Tete, Conscrit, Col du Bonhomme, Chalets de Miage and others.
The area is tranquil and the chalet has exceptionally scenic and fabulous panoramic views up
to Mont Joly and across the skiing area to the Col du Bonhomme - over 12 miles point to point.
Chalet Garalys is spacious and has private parking for 2 cars. Wi-fi broadband
access is available.
The nearest restaurants & bars are about 400 metres, either at Hameau du Lay village centre, or towards the centre
of Les Contamines. Hameau du Lay also has a few shops, a small supermarket, bars and a night club. The main ski lift is also
at Hameau du Lay. La Gallipette nursery is about 500 metres towards Les Contamines centre.
Le Pontet leisure park,
which has ample car parking, is about 20 minutes walk along the pretty valley path, about 1.5 kms. Alternatively, walking
through the forest, La Reserve Naturelle, takes about an hour.
A very good selection of restaurants, bars, shops, banks
and three supermarkets are in the main village centre of Les Contamines-Montjoie. This is a 15 minute walk. An outdoor market
is held on Tuesdays displaying local produce and wares.
The main ski lift is about 650 metres away. The ski bus stop and also the ski du fond
track is just 300 metres.

The spacious living room has an LCD television, DVD and radio/CD player. There
is a wood burning stone fireplace (wood available locally). This area comfortably seats 7 adults.
Wi-fi access
is available in the chalet. 
The fully equipped kitchen includes an induction electric hob and gas rings, oven, microwave, fridge,
freezer and dishwasher.
The kitchen and dining area is fully equipped for up to eight people.

| Double Bedroom |
There
are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 & the foyer area have south facing balconies. Bedroom 1 has twin beds and
bedroom 2 a double bed. Bedroom 3 is a private large mezzanine room with twin beds and a maximum height of
165cm. A travel cot and high chair are available.
The foyer area for bedrooms 2 & 3 can be used as a single bedroom with the single
click-clack. Sleeping capacity is 6/7. A supplement (50€)is payable for 7th occupant. 
The bathroom on the first floor has a bath with integral shower and toilet.
A separate WC is located on the ground floor and the utility room includes a shower, also on the ground floor. Drying
facilities for 2 pairs of boots/gloves at a time, are available in the utility room.
